Way too cool, beautiful, and I'm very envious. I don't understand completely; do you have a house there already or are just starting out to build one? Love the idea of keeping the containers; on old Bonaire people would just live in them while they built their homes.
no house, all jungle. friends are letting me stay at their house in cruz bay--roger and fran's. their house pic is at the end of the pic essay looking west towards st thomas. once my first floor/foundation/cistern is in place i plan to live in a three room 18x11x6.5 tent right on site inside the 10 foot walls of the foundation. i bought a water tank etc to make it all work. hell, i used to sleep on the beach for months on end without a tent so this will feel like first class!
i forgot to mention, but if you click on the pics that start each entry they will expand very nicely. the building my truck is parked in front of is where we live in San Fran. yes, it is one of my paint jobs.......
every time you show up i'll change the name from "duvall way" to something that keeps marilyn happy and chipper consequently you will continue to live!
